I recently just completed reading the “Life is Good, The Book”, and what a great read it is! There was one thing that really stuck with me after finishing the book. It kept resonating through my mind over and over, the phrase “I get to…”. A simple phrase, a powerful phrase that got me thinking, I get to_. Half empty, half full, I have to or I get to…It’s amazing that if you approach change or challenges in life with a positive outlook how great things really are. I get to eat Brussels Sprouts, I get to tell stories, I get to change my life, I get to shape my world the way I want it!
It’s been almost four weeks now since I’ve been diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA). My treatment is going great and I’m feeling really enthusiastic. I’ve made some changes in my life over the past few weeks and I promised myself to make more changes because, I get to. My diagnosis was the not the first challenge that I faced in my 47 years of life and I’m sure it won’t be the last. However, what I can tell you is this, I get to not fear the unknown, I get to embrace these opportunities to experience life. And all of the emotions I’m feeling are just proof to me that I’m living my life to its fullest. Pretty amazing…right!
In loving memory of our daughter, Jessica Erin Waligora…We got to have you and I’ll get to see you again! BE_thankful!
